About The Womens Rugby Club
Loughborough Ladies Rugby Club is made up of four overlapping teams, following the merge of Loughborough Students and Loughborough Town. The student-based BUCS 1XV continue their prolonged presence in the Northern Premiership, supported by our Development side. Loughborough Ladies are able to offer training and playing opportunities for every ability, whether you’ve never picked up a rugby ball before, or are an experienced player.
The BUCS 1XV is a student-only team, playing in BUSC Northern Premiership One. Last season the team finished in the top four and are aiming to play in the BUCS final at Twickenham this year.
The team has been home to many elite players including our current Captain and club chair El Snowsill who is currently part of the Welsh Senior squad.
The team has a stong tradition in the BUCS league, in both the 15s and 7s format.
